Pride season is a moment for celebration, but it’s also a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when diverse communities come together. This is why I recently represented our LGBT+ network at the Gaydio Networking Event (Manchester Pride Edition).
A core goal for our community is fostering intersectional connections. Events like this allow us to actively collaborate with other employee-led networks, amplify shared goals and champion diversity in all its forms.
Key takeaways from the evening:
High energy in during the one minute open mic, to introduce ourselves and share what each of our companies do and future goals
An inspiring talk from Dr Christopher Owen about the intersections of identity, inclusion and queer resistance
Potential future partnerships, collaborations and co-hosting events with Gaydio.
A huge thank you to the Gaydio team for the invitation and for hosting such a fantastic event. I’m looking forward to bringing these new connections back to our network over the coming months!
