To be an effective employee led community that raises awareness and profile of LGBT+  issues at Next. The employe led community will provide a forum to:

Responsibilities

The role of the LGBT+ employee led community will be primarily to provide a safe and supportive working environment to its members by sharing experiences and best practise through holding regular meetings, attending events and communicating with the business on LGBT+ issues.  

The community will actively shape a positive culture through their activities and will look for opportunities to come up with new ideas as well as  sharing, learning  and collaborating with other employee led communities

Review

These guidelines will be reviewed initially after 6 months and following this, the review will take place every 2 years.

Membership

Currently there is no formal membership process for the Network. We are open to all permanent and temporary Next employees that identify themselves as LGBT+ and anyone who wants to support the aim of the network.

Meeting Frequency 

The group will meet 4 times a year.

Stonewall Diversity Champion

Next has signed up to Stonewall’s Diversity Champions programme.

The programme is the leading employers' programme for ensuring all LGBT+ staff are accepted without exception in the workplace.

As Europe's largest lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) charity, Stonewall recognise that people perform better when they can be themselves.

There are over 850 organisations involved in the programme.
